In dividend reinvestment programs, does the company buy the stock to meet

the reinvestment after the allotment of money or prior to the distribution?

I wonder how much will be reinvested under the dividend reinvestment

program? In 2 days the dividend will be paid and the shorts will be

paying the shares they are short dividend.
