Why would they partner to finance the drug and end up with a 30-70 (or worse) split if drug gets approved and a small upfront payment when they can use LPC and go it alone, then get a drug approved and have companies begging to partner with them for manufacturing? I'm sure the FDA just gave them ODD because they felt sorry for them, same with Rett Foundation and MJFF contributing to trial costs. There's a lot of promise with the drug, also risk, if the drug does well in the coming trials then companies will be flocking to Anavex. Bashers have it easy because history and odds are on their side. Quite frankly, imo, anyone who bashes a company that is trying to treat, prevent, or cure a disease should take a hard look in the mirror. This isn't just about money, this investment is to try and help people with these diseases, or stop it completely. A lot of people involved with this company have years and years of experience, until they say it doesn't look good then idc if no other company is looking at us, which we can't definitively say.
