Scottrade rep knew nothing about it, but that doesn't mean anything. Wouldn't even waste my time asking an Ameritrade rep... they'll spin it however they want and everything will appear fine when in actuality it might not be.
It may be nothing/fear, but it would really suck if something goes down and you didn't move your shares out of Ameritrade and they get held up in bankruptcy or you possibly loose them.
Just not sure if the fear is legit even. My philosphy is you shouldn't keep all your eggs in one basket anyway in regard to having only one trading account.
