I do find it odd that anavex is the only presenter that has an abstract that can be read. Either way, trials will most likely start shortly afterwards beginning with rett. I think there was some confirmation about a fall rett start with someone posting their email interaction with a representative from the rettsyndrome.org foundation. At least it was on track for a fall start.

As for the latest beating that we took, wasn't surprising considering many were expecting some sort of attendance and news from aaic. Bets were made in anticipation and when it didn't come through it created a perfect storm for many to bail and allow for shorts to pounce on it.

I do think that the sp would still have taken a beating somehow even if a2-73 continued to show a positive signal just because the trial is insufficient to allow for an nda to be filed. Now if pk/pd data was announced then i can see a bump in price as it shows a major step in laying the foundation for all further a2-73 trial designs.

As many have said, the science up to the last corporate presentation has not changed. Will the sp languish due to the lack of news? Yes i believe it will, at least until the end of August. Then maybe a start of an uptrend after the conference with the anticipation of a rett trial start. Baby biotech is all about catalysts and anticipation of those catalysts. Everything in between is just dead space unfortunately. Who knows, maybe the next quarterly filing will provide more guidance leading into the fall.
