IMO rarely if ever are people paid to post negatively about a stock... but they could have self serving motivations.

Some people are negative because they worked for the company and that is their way of venting... or maybe they were a partner and got screwed on a deal.

Some people are negative because they lost a lot of money, even if it's a good company that's going through some growing pains. We all show frustration differently

Some people are negative because they want a better price on their shares. Very common

Some people are negative because they are short.

Some people are negative because they understand the inner dealings very well and they're trying to warn other people. This is more common than you might think... I always listen to negative posters. If their comments are sincere/supported, they're worthy comments like any other...when people make repetitious negative claims without any substance and/or regardless of the verifiable facts, that's when you ignore them. It's important to comprehend the difference... some people just ignore every negative comment, which is very dangerous in the penny market

You will never learn more about doing DD, than being negative on a stock and trying to defend your opinions against 100 angry Longs whom are trying to prove you wrong... if you are sincere And want to prove yourself, it will up your DD skills significantly. Longs always outnumber Bearish posters.

Its easier to be Long because the positives are always readily available for any stock. Insiders and longs go out of their way to make them known...it's the negatives which are always the hardest to find. Companies go out of their way to bury them as much as possible. I've even seen penny scammers change their names, so people wouldn't dig up their past dealing online. Some of these crooks will go to extremes to get your money.

It's also important to remember that just because a company is a failure, doesn't mean it's ran by crooks. Honest people, doing hard work fail all the time in business... sometimes no matter how much effort/money you put into it, nothing goes your way... or maybe the timing was off and the consumer was not ready for what you offered

Why are there no Bearish posters on AMFE?!...because as far as i can tell, there are no shady dealings or significant negatives. The differences is in the DD
