primarywatcher, I have done DD. I have been invested in this company since 2012. It is not a scam. It is a solid company from a management perspective. They follow the rules from a securities perspective but more importantly, they are an honorable corporation strongly based on their faith. They are well aware of the powers they would have to answer to if they were not conducting their business with the utmost honor :). With that said, review the posts on this message board to get an idea of where we are today. Especially review the press releases on their web-site and pay close attention to the third party review of their geologic scientific research. This was required by the Israeli government prior to being granted permission to drill.

Thank you to all those who took part in the DSPP. You have alleviated one of the major risks to this company through your participation. We owe you our thanks. So welcome aboard.

As for tomorrow, this is only the second time Zion has closed above $5 in a number of years. Will this be enough for the more reputable Oil and Gas investment firms to take a stake in this company tomorrow or early next week? Remember, a lot of Oil and Gas investment firms are not allowed to take a position in what they would consider a pink sheet stock (those that trade below $5/share).

The smart money has been watching this stock since June 5 when drilling began. It has been on their radar because the stock price has been moving up so quickly since they started to drill. By now, they have been in touch with Zion's management team (if they were not following them previously), they have requested the geological research, and if they received it, they have forwarded it to their research branch to see if they agree with the Zion's and the third party research firm's analysis. If they do agree, and now that Zion has closed above $5 for the second time, tomorrow could be very positive.

The downside is that the more professional shorter's will be attracted too.

As an aside, I think the next press release should be a video. Just John Brown and Victor Carillo sitting in lawn chairs next to the drill on Shabbat. They are smoking cigars as they relax and enjoy the quiet and the Sabbath. Victor takes a long draw off the cigar, exhales and says to John, "Do you smell gas?". John takes a draw, exhales and replies, "Yup, maybe we should put these things out.". Victor replies, "Nah, lets get a safe distance away, these cigars are too good not to fully enjoy." They both pick up their chairs and walk off screen. Now that would be a great press release :).

In actuality, the next press release could simply occur in the middle of any of the trading days over the course of the next week or so with a halt in the stock's trading pending announcement from the company.

Here is some information with respect to what is currently happening with the drilling process as mentioned in the press release. Enjoy ..

Rock and fluid properties will determine how much oil and natural gas can be recovered from a reservoir. After an exploratory well has been drilled, it is evaluated to determine if there is enough oil and natural gas in the reservoir to make it economically feasible to initiate recovery operations.

Drill Cuttings and Core Samples - As the drilling mud is brought to the surface, it is run through a sieve to removed the drill cuttings (pulverized rock) before the mud is recycled down into the well. Small pieces of rock are selected for microscopic analysis to determine the type of rock being drilled, how porous it is, and whether oil is present. The drilling mud also is analyzed with sensors to see if trace amounts of oil or natural gas are present — an indication of a possible accumulation at depth. In the past, rock cuttings were the principal source of well information.

Well Logging - A special bit can be used to cut a cylindrical piece of rock that can be brought to the surface for analysis. The core is sent to a laboratory where the exact porosity and permeability can be determined. This gives a good indication of how well oil or natural gas would flow through the rock. Fluid samples can be taken and analyzed to determine the amount and type of hydrocarbon present in the rock.

Wells are completed for production if the value of the recoverable oil and/or natural gas is greater than the cost of drilling and producing them and delivering them to market. If not, the well is plugged In accordance with industry standards and federal or state requirements (depending on the location) and the site is restored.
