Correct me if I'm wrong but I've heard nothing but good things about the character and intelligence of AVXL's CEO...And It's my understanding the BOD is for the most part equally respected in the medical community....so Unless they all have decided to pick this time in their lives to become sleezy and corrupt, then it's my belief you have to interpret their silence with their character. This would mean if their character is what we all think it is, then the silence is a very positive thing...this would mean they have something important but we have to be patient. Remember, governments are involved and are starting to press for future solutions (Dr. M has many Washington contacts)/New FDA rules which are being implemented .i.e. Slowing down the normal process of things, MTA with Biogen (which hasn't come out negative yet), placement of a poison pill to help protect against hostile take over, large financial institutions are significantly increasing their positions despite no major news yet, recent hires usually don't happen (FDA hire recently) for no reason, the big companies around us have pipelines falling apart left and right, we have the company stating we have multiple trials starting soon, the pills are now ready for trial starts, stating on their website, ANAVEX™ 2-73 is an orally available drug candidate that restores cellular homeostasis by targeting sigma-1 and muscarinic receptors (bold statement if they don't believe in their own product), very strong preclinical info., and p2 steps proving safety but at same time being highly suggestive of positive efficacy in a group of patients were I just don't see how you can have a placebo effect in, and you have caregivers and patients requesting to continue on the medication(which speaks volumes). There is no reason to jump ship short of unfounded fear tactics...Stay on the train until the year is over or something real negative comes out...and if by the end of the year there is still no explanations or reasoning given; then you can whistle a different tune...otherwise, don't stop believing says journey!
