What you state would make IDCC the biggest idiots on the planet. The very

idea that IDCC would tout they are receiving patents from Huawei that

would generate no revenue is about as stupid of thing as I ever heard.

It would equate this to you selling your house and in exchange they also

gave you worthless swamp land and you can't get a penny for that land.

Just why would you ever consumate a deal for patents that are worthless?

I think Lando may have a good point but that still doesn't pay back money

owed to IDCC. These patents may have some use for future license but the

infringers owe for infringing IDCC patents in the past.

The not collecting from LG or filing for a injunction to stop selling

product is a damn disgrace to say the least. If Microsoft settled and

paid for what Microsoft sold then the rest should be paying also.

Microsoft has plenty of money to fight and the fact the Nokia part if

I am not mistaken still has to be resolved and all court actions have

been dropped by both parties speaks volumes that a resoloution will be

forthcoming. I know you don't believe me but Microsoft clearly stated

that IDCC was seeking over 3 billion for Nokia infringement. Now we

have a company that isn't licensed manufacturing handsets with the Nokia

technology. Remember Microsoft sold the Nokia handset division they

bought and acquired all legal responsibilities, now when they sold the

Nokia division did they have a provision they would be responsible for

the Nokia liability or did the acquirer assume that liability? I tend

to think Microsoft may still have responsibility as I find it hard to

believe a acquirer would take on that amount of liability.

I think that a huge amount of money will be coming in from a seetlement

of the Nokia liability and that is why Merritt has no problem feeding

big time at the trough.

I think ZTE has a problem since Microsoft settled and they was involved

in what ZTE is contesting. LG as I said is a disgrace as they had

licensed the technology and let the license expire but sold the handsets

and lost arbitration so what leg do they have to stand on?

Xaiomi and Lenovo in my opinion will have big problems with Huawei

signing and setting a precedent for the Chinese rate.
