If you have not yet done so, I recommend reading Roofs posted article (previous to this message).. its informative and even a little scary for solar investors.

The closing paragraph sums it up pretty well..

With Donald Trump in the White House and his penchant for protectionism, it's worth considering what will happen to solar stocks if the Suniva trade petition goes forward.

I don't particularly like the man, and he has done nothing in my eyes but hurt the solar industry all the while saying its good for America. He waves the coal banner like the American flag, even though there are more workers in the solar industry than there are coal.. a dying industry that even the workers don't want to return to. There, that's my Trump rant.

Too bad the cell never made it to fruition.. SUNW would be poised to be in a pretty nice place, but not like SunPower. SUNW may have grown to a decent sized manufacturer but I don't know that it would be big enough to make much of a dent if the tarrifs change. We will never know.
