Jeez.... you realize that at the time of that year old conference call, filings were current, Stacey McBride-Irby was the designer, OWOO had a CFO, and Tonner was still around. He's not anymore.
Tonner sculpted a set of dolls and licensed them previously as Little Miss Matched dolls. Those same dolls from the same molds were then licensed to be marketed by OWOO as their Tween Scene line. If you read carefully through today's PR, there's no mention of Tonner and the Dream Babaire, the NYC dolls, or the Empire dolls... just the Tween Scene line. Why is that? Tonner wants nothing to do with this turd, other than letting TONR distribute some of his old cast-offs as the "tween scene" dolls. Which was quite unsuccessful at Walmart, as it turns out.
In fact, the Tween Scene/Walmart deal went so badly that most of OWOO's principals quit and the company ceased all doll production.
Why would anybody "tip their hat" to a company that has lost millions of dollars of investor funds, lost money on every unit sold, and is up to its eyeballs in delinquent notes?
Your explanation of OTC funding had a major flaw. You say that private funding dries up, so toxic convertible funding is the only option, but now that has *poof* just disappeared, and now private lenders are suddenly ready to rush back to TONR's side now that they've acquired so much more debt while ceasing production, halted filings, and otherwise blown off the 2016 and 2017 Christmas Toy Buying Season. If the key to OWOO's success has been to have strong showings at Toy Fair, why didn't TONR attend this year?
Like I said, since Tonner cut ties with Trent & Co, he has bombed (again) with a radio show, tried to rekindle his "Super Saturday" motivational seminars in the ballroom down at the Econolodge, and became a Six-Sigma Black Belt Sapphire Level Executive in some MLM scheme. Hell, it's gotten so bad that Sweet T's Daddy's property is being advertised as going up for tax sale on 8/1/2017. Marie must be doing flips.
TONR is a turd, ran by a felon, and the smart money left the room a long time ago. Flip at your peril, invest only if you need a tax write-off.
