I really wish you hadn't mentioned Epson printer, it almost made me recall a similar experience that I had previously made an effort to erase from memory once I got through it. It's not hard to tell I don't even rank on the scale of your level of expertise and experience, just a stubborn aging Joe bag o' donuts who is determined enough to take on such a task without spending another penny outside of the original purchase while I wrestle with the problem until one of us cries "uncle!".

That experience left me with a dislike for the writers of tech user manuals and a natural aversion to paying for any extended warranty or non intelligible tech support who has no idea what real interaction with another human looks and feels like.
