Biological Fertilizer Industry Positioned to Benefit from the New Draft Soil Prevention and Control Law

On June 22, China’s top legislature the National People’s Congress (“NPC”) has started deliberating a new Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Law drafted by the National People’s Congress Environmental and Resources Committee. The draft law has been included in the legislative plan of the twelfth NPC Standing Committee, which signifies the top-level design of soil remediation is gradually improved.

The draft law explicitly stipulates the governments to implement the responsibility on preventing soil pollution. The draft law also promised a soil pollution control standards system that will be rolled out across the country and a national soil condition census every ten years.
