Holy cow do i have the same wish. I was checking out of my career on 12/31/16 - but the morning of 11/9 was a new dawn and i decided to hang around until the end of August because i knew things were about to get interesting after eight years.

However since my hours have increased exponentially from 40 per week to 60+ - on top of my 3-4 hour daily commute - and weekend duty call - and not one penny more pay - i've about had it and am thinking of pulling the plug to everyone's surprise at the end of July. Will tell them on my way out the door not to expect me for work the next day - or forever.

being a short timer is very empowering....

Should our little engine that we have for years thought could continue to rise in the next four weeks - i think i shall forego my last two paychecks and hang it up early before my mandatory date of 8/31.

This girl is finished.
