Amazon's robots will be taking a lot of the jobs at Whole Foods warehouses. At least when I was in college each warehouse was typically the central hub supplying typically 16 stores.

I bought 5 pair of sandals from Amazon on Saturday, from a selection of more than 50 - received them today, keeping the pair I liked best and dumped the rest back in the box and dropped them off 3 blocks away at the UPS store in exchange for a receipt. I already have a refund tonight.

Boy have they made retail easy for cystomers. Warren Buffett is buying some retail REITs which are suffering vacancies in their retail space which can be turned to restaurants or other uses.

A lot of low-wage manufacturing jobs make more sense being located near customers once the low-wage workers are replaced robots, as Taiwan-based Hon Hai Precision Manufacturing is now doing, better known as Foxconn. Manufacturing went to Asia just long enough to dump the manufacturing workers. All the Foxconn factories are owned by Chinese municipalities rather than Foxconn.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
