Facebook plans to offer TV-quality content by late summer, WSJ says
Facebook is in talks with Hollywood studios and agencies about producing "TV-quality" shows with the aim of launching original programming by late summer, reports the Wall Street Journal, citing sources. Facebook has indicated in its meetings with talent agencies that it's willing to commit to budgets as high as $3M an episode, the sources told the Journal, adding that the company is also interested in more moderately priced shows in the mid to high six-figure range. Facebook is also pursuing short-form, largely unscripted content, the sources said
