The molecules mentioned above can be used as anti-cancer drugs, either alone or in combination with conventional anti-cancer drugs. They can also be used as diagnostics (sigma receptors are increasing in most of the different types of cancer cells) and as anti-metastatic drugs, since they inhibit the binding and migration of cancer cells via tumor cell membrane reorganization and inhibition....

Appears that the biochemists at Anavex continue to tweak (and legally protect) their unique molecules, with increasing potential medical applications, including, neuroprotection, amnesia, convulsions, depression, fatigue, anxiety, cancer, and inflammation.

Whether or not this application was granted is not clear to me. Nevertheless, the company has lab data indicating the listed applications. That's most important. Anavex molecules will have many applications, not just Alzheimer's (whether protected by a patent or not).
