While on the whole all industries are impacted by a recession, games do okay. They might not go out as much but people will buy games as in the scheme of things represent very inexpensive entertainment.

A fad is a very specific game / toy like 'Pogs' 'Rubber Banz' etc... I've never seen a time when new games didn't come out....Or smoke weed so as regulatory kicks in more and more Grozone will continue to flourish. Just like beer and chocolate people consume weed feast or famine so I'm not concerned at all. The food and drink they sell is only a fraction of their income pie.
