Actually there is some evidence that 2-73 might have some preventative effects. The evidence is not strong yet.

I believe it has been discussed here that part of the sleep function is to clear cellular trash and molecules out of the brain. So anything that interferes with that process, like insomnia, could be either causative or a factor.

If 2-73 can normalize sleep patterns in people with insomnia it may well have some preventative potential.

We are a long way away from being able to assert that with any confidence.

It sure is a tantalizing hypothesis.

I was going to leave the insomnia thing alone after the previous discussion.

We know that stress can cause insomnia. We also know that sleep patterns in aging people change and they frequently have trouble going to sleep or staying asleep. It seems likely that there are physiological underpinnings for those changes. Perhaps 2-73 can assist in addressing those physiological underpinnings.

Again, we are a long way from knowing if that is the case, but it is something that should be explored after 2-73 get FDA approval.

The future's so bright I have to wear shades.
