It is incorrect to say that if A 2-73 were effective in treating insomnia that it causes somnolence. In fact it has been shown to be non sedating.

I think you just made my point. There are wild ideas (from others) that 2-73 can be used in the general population for insomnia. That is only possible if 2-73 is sedating and I pointed out that if they want it as a treatment for AD they don't WANT it to be sedating because that would be considered an adverse effect.

I did not say it actually is sedating and conversely, if indeed it is not sedating then it is not a treatment for insomnia (for the general population at least).
