biocqr I look for a cross between public transportation and cars. I live in a Minneapolis suburb, Plymouth, and they have "Plymouth Metro Link".. For $5 they will take you anywhere in Plymouth, plus the county has a system for handicapped. With computer technology I can see the likes of Uber having small busses taking 10 or so people to key places like work, sporting events, etc. Computers and many people ditching their cars would be the key to making it work cheaply and efficiently. The Plymouth system now is great in the mornings, but often half hour or longer waits in the afternoons.
This would reduce fuel use, highway congestion, etc.
