Very good question.

But, no, very little chance Anavex 2-73 could be either a treatment for, or prevention of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, for this reason.

The disease is not acquired or sustained because of the loss of a homeostatic condition in any human cell. Yes, Anavex 2-73 restores homeostasis in the degenerating neurons of Alzheimer's disease (and others). But is has no way --- that I can envision --- of stopping prion replication, which is not a function of disturbed cellular homeostasis.

Even if it were a useful CJD treatment, the market for such is increasingly small, nearly to the vanishing point. Modern medicine is aware of the disease, and exactly how it can be transmitted, by infected blood or use of contaminated instruments. Blood for transfusion is almost universally tested for the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease prion protein, so transmission by contaminated blood is almost nil today.
