95% of animal feed grains in the US are corn, according to the posted article below. The problem with corn is ethanol use is not growing. Corn "It has incredibly high yields compared with most other U.S. crops" according to the 2nd link below.
My take on it all is that the low carb diets, like Paleo, which are still growing allow us to eat meat, but not grains. So meat growth world wide would rise, and what feeds meat should to. I have not read much about soy being used as animal feed. If your article is right I would believe that between corn, soy and wheat that soy is the best bet. TY for the post jbog
And by the way, I did a couple of comparisons of the commodity funds performance of WEAT and CORN compared to the actual commodity. The commodity outperformed the funds by 2.75% per year. But, coming up with the money to get into commodities and paying your own brokerage fees would probably add up?
