Hey, just realized something. The shuttle was supposed to take off on Sunday, August 27 but did not go until today. Isn't Edwards on standby during a launch in case something bad happens? If, as the CNBC report stated, there were testing plans for the last week of August, then they may have been postponed due to shuttle delays. Delays beget delays and now here we may be with the first chance in weeks to start a testing regimen that could not have been interupted by and of course could not have interfered with an aborted shuttle flight. That would also possibly explain the pulling the CNBC report from the web sites for all this time. Can anyone confirm that Edwards is in standby mode during a shuttle launch?
