This is a natural progression. I dont think there is any other company that has a better birds eye view of new titles, than Snakes

When they hold Designers Night (once per month), customers can come and test new game ideas/concepts, allowing them to pick and choose the best potential, AFTER being able to do extensive inhouse research (at relatively no cost)... Then they can use their sales/distribution to usher these games right into the doors of retailers.

Also, their staff has been playing and analyzing most all of the games on the market for years and are a SIGNIFICANT resource towards knowing which ones to jump on, or pass. See for yourself: https://www.snakesandlattes.com/podcast/ ... and they have access to customer feedback any time they want.

ALL the pieces are in place to take advantage of a sector that has been growing each year for almost a decade.

If they are looking to invest in a new growth area, its hard to imagine a more perfect initiative than the actual games. A title like Exploding Kittens did $50,000,000 in the first year! The game sells for $20, but it likely costs less than $3 to print units in bulk. HUGE profits if they cut out the middlemen and sell directly via Snakes locations, on their website and on Amazon... + distribute into retailers.
