OK, folks---this is where we get to act as community organizers! Funny, as that's a term I didn't appreciate when a recent former President was elected. But this isn't about politics, it's about raising questions.
At 3:15pm Central time I called NGL. I was greeted by a receptionist and then, without notice, was transferred to a prerecorded message inviting me to leave a message. It is now an hour and twenty minutes later and I've not yet heard back.
I'm a ferocious bulldog when it comes to standing my ground and I won't let up now. I will call back tomorrow morning and post my results.
This is what I want from you guys:
Call them as I'm doing. Ask them why they haven't seen fit to explain to their loyal investors how it is that CEO Krimball and the NGL BOD couldn't get together on the extremely important issue concerning forward yields and distributions. I have nbo problem with their disagreeing on the amounts to be distributed but I do have to wonder why leadership and the BOD were so blind to one another in terms of expectations.
Also be sure to ask why the IR department hasn't even bothered to apologize for inept handling of investor relations communication. That just happens to be the primary purpose for Investor Relations. I see failure here---not in company-led events but in communicating with the company's audience.
