We could get a weaker PR and the volume spikes just because some TA traders see the news, then check out the chart... Then once they are in, they start passing the chart around to others and they start buying as well. Thats how it works!
A MACD cross while its hovering just over the 50DMA is very attractive to a trend trader... especially when the last 2 trend breakouts lasted for weeks...
