On Reddit, accounts are verified just by checking an email so anyone can have a verified account and pretend to be anything. However, in the case of this user and this particular post, the user has claimed that the mods have verified his claims. This means that he has privately communicated with the moderators of the R/Apple subreddit and has provided proof of his status as an insider at Foxconn.

Typically this would require a photo of an employee badge w/ his user name and possibly photos of Foxconn's facilities. Without those verifications, it is highly likely that the moderators at /R/Apple would have quickly removed this post.
