well dual-core K8Ls should be out in a similar timeframe to quad-core K8Ls according to H. Richard. There is nothing wrong in that, the osborning part is telling everyone that they would be selling at a lower price to existing K8s which is what Intel did very wrong with Conroe wrt P4.

They should have kept completely quiet about pricing even to OEMS and just fed them in on launch from about $300 upwards, exactly like AMD did with X2s . They would not have osborned existing P4 sales to the extent they have as noone would have know what price to expect and certainly not cheaper to current and they still would have sold all the Core 2s they made without handing over excessive margins to resellers.
