its "affiliated" with Costco...I live in NY and NY is one of the only States in the U.S. that does not allow chain stores to sell wine and/or liquor within the State, therefore, the store cannot be OWNED or OPERATED under the Costco name...obviously, people find their ways under these regulations buy opening stores in family members names, modifying the store name by adding "of Riverhead" etc. We have a "chain" here in WNY that is owned and operated by different family members, one license per operator...they share the same name Premier Group, however, they are all named differently...Premier Wine & Spirits, Premium Wine & Spirits, Prestige Wine & Spirits
