I think a CISCO buyout makes the most sense in order for them to avoid an obvious lawsuit (and push back) from their customers. Their customers are the 13 major cable companies who bought Cico equipment which infringed on Chanbonds (UOIP) patents. The customers will sue CISCO to recoup the damages paid to Chanbond (UOIP) if they were to settle next week.
At this point, CISCO has limited options. They and their pitbull RPX lost in court .. TWICE!
