Well, off the top of my head it means LQMT would be a subsiderary of another firm. LQMT would have a whole other level of board of directors and management influencing the vote of each share. What if Hong Kong Liquidmetal said Professor Li no longer heads the LQMT division he's been replaced.

I could go on, but simply put many of us are here because we embrace Li, not some unknown company.
