Does anyone think that possibly stock trading platforms, market time and sales for the New York Stock Exchange or other exchanges could also be block chain based?

If so this could be one other positive for block chain. There are many World Wide exchanges the trade Currensy and stocks that could benefit from this. I'm still learning about block chain so correct me if I'm wrong
