I've been seeing the manufactured flap about Melania wearing head covering when in the presence of the Pope, but not wearing one when she was in Saudi Arabia. To me the answer is obvious, but I've heard no one say what it is.

She was with the Pope, in the Vatican, the holiest place in Catholicism. She was not in a holy place in Saudi Arabia. I hope she would have covered her head if she had been in the Grand Mosque, in Mecca.

To me, it's clear to see that President Trump has given the Royal Family the strength to stuck their thumbs into the eyes of Wahhabis.

Until 1979 the Royal Family treated Wahhabis like grouchy neighbors.

In 1979 radical Muslims seized the Grand Mosque and held it for about a month. They were preaching the over throw of the Royal family from the Mosque's radio system and over it's loud speakers. It was the shakiest period for the Kingdom.

The Royal family went to the Wahhabis and asked them to intercede, with their followers on behalf of The Family. They did and the radicals were defeated and the Grand Mosque freed.

There was little problem with the populace afterwards.

But the Wahhabis demanded a price--and got it. The big thing for The World was they demanded that The Family pay for the Madras schools, around the World.

Liquor was no longer given a wink and a nod. It was banned. Western women had to keep their heads covered and to show no skin, except for their hands and faces. Even in Aramco camps males and females could not use the same swimming pools and tennis courts. Women could no longer drive , in Aramco camps.

Many other things that I won't go into.

Now for an amazing thing about President Trump's visit. I have no doubt that Wahhabis were out raged that Melania and Ivanka didn't cover their heads. I'm sure they were outraged that Air Force One flew directly from SA to Tel Aviv.

But somehow the Royal family quietly told the Wahhabis to stick it.

That in it's self is an example of Saudi Arabia taking baby steps away from radical Islam. IMO.
