I have Elkay, and I am now wearing it almost every night while sleeping. Prior to buying one, I would wake up ever day with trouble standing from back spasms and pain. I would need to grab the bed post as support for standing and start walking. With patch there is no need for support. Believe me, I was amazed how fast it helped. The first night wearing I noticed a substantial difference. Reminds me of when I took muscle relaxers for the back pain. That was the only time I would wake up without pain, so I am assuming that I am getting the same relaxing (messaging?) of muscles as the pills? But with pills it was hard to wake up and made me drowsy ALL day. I really don't know how it works. I don't care, because all I care about is that it DOES! On nights when I forget to wrap on my back (2 or 3 times), I have had pain getting out of bed and pretty much all day, as opposed to 90% pain relief ALL DAY from just wearing patch at night. Thus, to the point I am at now, with wearing it EVERY night either with or without much pain during day. Believe me it WORKS and I can see many Americans doing the same routine as I do every night: wash, brush teeth, pajamas, apply actipatch, sleep time!!!
