Whatever the case, I agree that Amarin Management should try to prop up the share price as high as possible before the hopeful good Reduce-It and/or buyout news.

Someone mentioned that the starting price is irrelevant before the hopeful good Reduce-It and/or buyout news because the resulting share price will be based on the estimated value of future Vascepa sales and/or Amarin as a company

I agree with that from an overall long term view but I also believe there is a psychological aspect of the initial quick multi-bagger price increase (aka pop) and the higher the starting price the higher the ending price of the pop.

Since Amarin management is obviously greedy and they have not only rewarded themselves with great compensation packages over the last many years, they have also rewarded themselves with a huge number of free AMRN shares, they should greedily want the highest shares price possible as well - which of course is also good for us peon shareholders.
