Yes, inability to manufacture one's product would be a viable reason for a business venture to close.

What is ironic about 18-24 months?

You mean they will wait until all the money runs out and they can't raise more to then inform people of the manufacturing issues being "insurmountable?"

Interesting theory, if that's what you are claiming. If true and you have insider information of fraud, should probably go to the authorities with that information.
