I don't actually know for sure if Intel does 28 core monolithic dies or not. Anyone who knows is welcome to enlighten us or if you know if the 22 core Xeons are monolithic please post.



Intel's current Xeon processors are monolithic dies, and the Skylake-SP chips will also be monolithic dies. In recent product generations, Intel has offered its Xeon processors in 3 configurations: LCC (low core count), MCC (mid core count), and HCC (high core count).

The LCC dies are what Intel has generally used for its HEDT product line.
