The more I do my own DD the more i realize how legitimate this is. My question being fairly new in the investment world is this: why would chanbond give up 100% of itself to be a subsidiary only to leverage an existing company's lawyers? Wouldnt any lawyer in patent infringements jump all over this case considering it is a very solid case? I dont know all the details thats why i am asking. But it just seems fishy to me. And also what does Chanbond get out of all of this? Just a stake in uiop? Because that wouldnt be a very wise decision imo if they just gave away their own company for a stake in another company. Their settlement alone would make them much more well off financially then uiop currently is. I have a fairly small position in UIOP. I got in yesterday and was just wondering if anyone could clear this up for me.
