It's not surprising that attention would be redirected to this lawsuit, now that it appears the '339 infringement project is a garbage fire.
To briefly recap, the Engineered Architecture (not Electronic Arts) claim is not a patent infringement claim. It's a misappropriation, breach of contract claim. It was at one time a claim for breach of a non disclosure agreement, but that was timed barred.
This claim has nothing whatsoever to do with Vedanti. There is no plausible action for infringement on the '339 in the US given that the purported infringement appears to concern unpatenable claims. Unless there's an appeal, or a surprising result in Germany, that 120 billion dollar sure thing has ceased to be. It is an ex-parrot. It would be pushing up the daisies now if it hadn't been nailed to its perch.... etc.
