codec specs are all out there for anyone to look at. If they infringe on a patent, that can be determined.

The determination will be a legal one though not necessarily a technical one. Patents are theoretical, code is practical, and guys in suits have to determine whether they overlapped or not.

Nash just doesn't make sense. The things she writes prove that she doesn't have a technical understanding of codec software. I think she is struggling to explain concepts which have been described to her but she only remembers some elements. Even on business matters she can't even keep her story straight, so I wouldn't worry about whatever she says.
