I don't see a problem in him telling friends to load up WMIH and are they forbidden from buying into WMIH



Then you do not understand insider trading. A BOD can not tell anyone about any non public info. Even if they are connected like owners of hedge funds, they can not disclose the game plan to their buddies. It is insider trading.
