Energous (WATT): Near-Field Chipset Now Ready - Ladenberg

Ladenburg Thalmann analyst, Jon Hickman, reiterated his Buy rating on shares of Energous Corp (NASDAQ: WATT) after the company reported Q1 2017 results with development/milestone revenues of $575,000 and a GAAP net loss of $12.5 million. Revenues were in-line with expectations and the analyst anticipates expanded milestone payments from the Tier-1 partner later this year.

Management reiterated that chipsets are ready for commercial shipment and anticipates meaningful chipset orders to begin late in the June quarter with shipments and product production in Q3. The expectation is that consumer products with the Wattup technology will be available in Q4 of this year.

No change to the price target of $18.
