I am not sure what you were reading, but I think the general consensus here was that nobody expected any huge secret revenue. I think the consensus has been that we will begin to see revenue in Q3. What excites me and others is reduced costs, a manufacturing facility now being equipped, and raw materials on order. People expect the share price to climb based on those milestones. True, I have seen ridiculous predictions but I don't/can't believe that those pie-in-the-sky predictions are effecting trades. Generally, I think your characterization is off base.

Further, I think shorts are mostly making money off each other here, and that's fine for me. The longs that have invested their time here know the score and willing to look past today's trading drama.
