The reality is, USMJ ran out of money before they could monetize on there plans. They ran out our authorized shares to sell and could either have gone out of business or figured out a way to get funding to stay in business. The good news is that there is someone (ACI) that is willing to put up money and see it through. The unknown is the method that they will take control of USMJ (and subsequently PURA, USMJ has controlling interest in PURA already). A reverse split does not make sense at this time. I believe that ACI has come in with cash and cleared all USMJ debt and loaned them enough money to (hopefully) get them to profitability, in exchange for managing control through preferred shares. Short term this may be no benefit to shareholders, but long term it means USMJ can survive until profitable.
I own 1% of a private company of which I once owned 5%. We initial investors ran out of funding before we became profitable. We got an outside investor that came in with an influx of cash at the cost of major dilution to the rest of us. Now my 1% is in the ownership of a $100,000,000 company which pays me $70,000.00 a year in dividends and growing. Moral is 1% of a successful company is better than 5% of a failed company.

I now own 40,000,000 shares of USMJ and 700,000 shares of PURA so as you can guess, I am optimistic.
