Damaged by Who Else? He's not a new incoming CEO hired to fix this mess.
He's is the only decision maker. Hence he created the damage and shows no signs of knowing or caring how to fix it. Who would believe a statement that they are "strong" from a CEO who chose to go Dark in the first place?
They went Dark out of embarrassment to report the incompetence that is really going there. In my opinion.
