Proto,

Isn't it astounding?

In all your research, have you ever seen any enforcement or penalty for MM and/or Broker Dealers circulating Naked Short Shares that have been essentially FTDs back and forth between them for long stretches of time. I am certain that essentially the float is artificially expanded with phony shares. Only way to permit short shares properly is if borrowable shares are identified upfront. If that restricts liquidity, then shucks, I really feel bad for the the traders and broker dealers, but it would just give a boost to share prices enhancing the health of the investor class, particularly retail investors, and the underlying companies they invest in, especially cutting edge companies that need every advantage in the world just to survive when attempting to bring new technologies to market to challenge incumbent titans. This is most true in biotech, where its so difficult and expensive to get a product through a pipeline. Traders Short biotechs mercilessly, and because of the difficulty of the regulatory environment, Short Sellers will be right 90% of the time. A Biotech with actual promise will never be able to successfully float a secondary once the Short Sellers have essentially destroyed the value of its stock.

I've seen a lot of the above. I do think that LWLG will get through this no problem. Some of those shorting might not have done enough DD into LWLG. For others, it might just be that it was a small price to pay to keep trading running smoothly and not losing clients. Who knows for sure.
