Bio, I agree with you on most of what you're saying, but they may find it difficult getting their shares cheaply once the good news finally hits. I know I'm not selling cheaply. I guess it may depend upon what they would consider cheap. Is $30 cheap?

Yes, they seem to target most directly, companies with the most potential. They basically manufacture an option for themselves by destroying the stock price, and keep it on hold while they wait and invest elsewhere, and can buy up the shares cheaply, at the moment when there is revelation of the results, without the risk of holding it while it is driven down. And they shorted down all the way too, typically. No need to cover while in the money by so much.
