They lied about everything. There is no merger, no filings coming, no clients, no revenues, nothing. They lied about everything. It's that simple. There was no company to save. Asher saw a shell they could sell and went after it. DBMM tried to fight long enough to sell some shares for cash, and in the end Linda's ego turned out to be just a mask on a clown.
