Dec 2015 There are currently only 26 companies licensed in Canada to legally cultivate and sell medical marijuana to 50,000 licensed medical marijuana users.

As a whole, the legal marijuana market in Canada could have as many as 8 million customers.

Currently the U.S. medical and recreational marijuana market is valued at $21 billion however, if all 50 states legalized marijuana it could become larger than the $45 billion organic food industry.
