What's going on with the Red Sox?

Papelbon to undergo M-R-I Monday

BOSTON - Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon will undergo an MRI on Monday as he tries to determine what caused the shoulder pain that forced him from yesterday’s game.

Papelbon is hoping it’s just pain from wear and tear or fatigue.

Papelbon left Friday’s game against Toronto after feeling a burning sensation in his shoulder on his 11th pitch.
